Kevin Sumlin intends to give his Texas A&M players a fans’ perspective of new Kyle Field

COLLEGE STATION – Following nearly two weeks of tough practices in the Southeast Texas heat, the Texas A&M football players get a real treat Saturday.

Stepping inside their actual stadium. Weather permitting, the Aggies will practice on the new grass of a new Kyle Field on Saturday afternoon for the first time this year.

A&M is in the late stages of a $485 million redevelopment of Kyle, and the stadium should be ready for the Aggies’ home opener on Sept. 12 against Ball State. But practice on the grass isn’t the only thing A&M coach Kevin Sumlin has in mind for his players in the coming weeks – he wants them to take in the new stadium from a fans’ perspective.
