Manziel is playing football again for the first time since 2015. The former Texas A&M and Cleveland Brown quarterback will join the Spring League. It might not have been the way Manziel thought his professional career would pan out, but it’s the first step in what Manziel hopes will be an NFL comeback.
Many though the next move for Manziel would be the CFL. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats snagged the rights to negotiate with Manziel but had to wait for the league to conduct an off-field investigation of the embattled signal caller. After a review of his disciplinary and legal issues, Manziel interviewed with league commissioner Randy Ambroise who approved a potential deal which never came to fruition.
