Unless something happens between now and Thursday, new Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher will be working without a signed contract when preseason camp begins.
Fisher, who agreed to terms in December on a 10-year, $75 million guaranteed deal with the university, did not have a contract signed as of Monday night. A&M said it does not have a finalized deal with Fisher in response to an open records request seeking contracts for selected members of the football program.
Fisher is not the only notable new hire who could be working without a contract when the Aggies start camp Thursday.
