TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The remaining fans inside Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium were booing with three seconds left on the clock, but Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher didn’t care.
He had a point to prove.
So with the outcome already decided, Fisher called a timeout to give the No. 22 Aggies one more chance to put points on the board. Unfortunately, No. 1 Crimson Tide had a point to prove, too.
For one final time on Saturday night, Alabama pressured A&M’s quarterback, forced a tough pass that barely left the hand and put an exclamation point on a 45-23 victory in the Aggies’ SEC opener.
