COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Jimbo Fisher made his stance on Texas A&M's quarterback race quite clear.
"It's wide open," Fisher said Thursday afternoon. "Everything's wide open. If I was coaching here last year, it would still be wide open."
When the Aggies open Spring Practice on March 20, three candidates - Nick Starkel, Kellen Mond and Connor Blumrick - will compete to be A&M's starting quarterback for Fisher's first year in Aggieland.
The trio will get straight to work as Fisher said that there will be no standing around at practice as four different units will run plays simultaneously on separate fields in team drills.
