Jackie Sherrill spent 26 seasons as a college head coach, and his longest tenure was a 13-year run at Mississippi State.
Sherrill, who played for Bear Bryant at Alabama, had was a head coach at Washington State, Pitt and Texas A&M. He finished his coaching career in 2003 at Mississippi State and owns a 180-120-4 career record.
