Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin told a Houston Touchdown Club gathering on Wednesday that senior cornerback Brandon Williams, who has switched from running back for camp, has been the fastest player on the team … perhaps until now.
Freshman running back Jay Bradford of Splendora has turned his teammates’ heads during 7-on-7 drills, Sumlin said, and “according to the players” might be the new fastest Aggie on the football team. Sumlin and his staff aren’t allowed to watch such drills during the offseason.
Sumlin visited the media about 15 minutes prior to speaking more than 30 minutes to the touchdown club gathering at the Westin Galleria Hotel.
