FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. -- If Dave Doeren could relive his coaching career, there's one thing he would have done.
When Doeren accepted the job to be North Carolina State's head coach, it meant he could not lead Northern Illinois in the Orange Bowl against Florida State and then-coach Jimbo Fisher.
"That was probably the one thing in my career, if I could do over again, I would have coached in that game," Doeren said.
