COLLEGE STATION -- Daylon Mack was on the field when he experienced one of the most important plays of Texas A&M's recent history.
The senior defensive tackle recalled a play against top-ranked Alabama in 2016, when a roughing the passer penalty on third down eventually resulted in a touchdown. The play was the turning point in a road loss that could have changed A&M's trajectory as a program.
That experience made a defensive drive against No. 2 Clemson one of Mack's favorite as an Aggie.
After a similar late hit extended a drive in the Aggies' loss to the Tigers last Saturday, A&M's defense buckled down.
