DESTIN, Fla. -- Jimbo Fisher was looking for the right word to describe the gift he received this offseason.
During the second day of SEC spring meetings, the new Texas A&M coach was asked about the dateless national championship plaque from A&M chancellor John Sharp, a gesture that drew plenty of ire.
Eventually, Fisher settled on "rewarding." He viewed Sharp's gift as a sign that the administration was willing to do what was necessary to win a national championship.
"I liked it and I loved it because that meant he had the same goals and aspirations that I do," Fisher said Wednesday in Destin, Florida.
