Jake Hubenak was determined to throw a pass in his final game at Kyle Field, even if he had an injured shoulder.
So late in Texas A&M's blowout win over New Mexico last weekend, the senior quarterback asked the coaching staff for a passing play -- a real one, not like the shovel pass he tossed for an incompletion a couple plays earlier.
The coaching staff obliged. Hubenak managed to throw a five-yard completion to Kendrick Rogers. The former Georgetown and Blinn College quarterback's determination paid off.
On Kevin Sumlin's radio show Monday night, the A&M coach explained why that was an impressive feat.
