Texas A&M football has the distinction of being the first school in the SEC to appear in front of the media, after SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey makes his opening remarks. Jimbo Fisher is the first to follow him in the session, followed by players.
This is a change from previous years with Kevin Sumlin. Normally, the Aggies would be made available to the media in the middle of the week. Clearly, the Fisher hype has changed perception of Texas A&M and has made them the most attractive program, at least for this season.
It makes sense. Fisher got a whopping contract and joined a program that goes nuts for its football like most schools in the SEC.
