Easy football wins have their price -- and they aren't cheap.
Texas A&M will shell out $2.8 million for three nonconference games in 2017, according to game contracts obtained through an open records request.
The Aggies' Week 3 opponent will receive most of that of that money. Louisiana-Lafayette will earn $1.25 million to play at Kyle Field on Sept. 16. It'll be A&M's first game against the Ragin' Cajuns since 2006.
The Aggies will pay New Mexico $1 million to come to College Station on Nov. 11, while the Football Championship Subdivision's Nicholls State will make $550,000 to play A&M on Week 2.
