HOOVER, Ala. – Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin makes $5 million a year and is 24-15 overall and 11-13 in the SEC over the past three seasons.
Those aren’t $5 million-a-year numbers, and everyone knows it.
A&M athletic director Scott Woodward said in late May that “Coach knows he has to win and he has to win this year.” That wasn’t news to Sumlin, which he reiterated Wednesday at SEC Media Days.
Sumlin said he and Woodward had had “a lot of conversations before that.”
“Nothing changes for me. … Nobody puts more pressure on me than I put on myself and nobody wants to win more than I want to,” Sumlin said.
