Texas A&M has lost a key commitment.
Four-star University Lab (La.) linebacker Christian Harris backed out of his verbal pledge to Texas A&M and flipped to Alabama on Wednesday night.
Harris announced his decision via Twitter.
Harris originally committed to Texas A&M in August. However, Harris made an official visit to Alabama over the weekend and decided to switch his pledge to the Crimson Tide.
At 6-foot-1, 239 pounds, Harris is ranked as the No. 9 inside linebacker and No. 145 overall prospect in the country, per 247Sports Composite.
Texas A&M is down to 23 commits in its 2019 class, which is ranked second in the SEC.
