Former Texas A&M receiver Mike Evans sits during national anthem in response to Donald Trump's win

Former Texas A&M wide receiver Mike Evans became the latest NFL player to sit during the national anthem, this time before his Tampa Bay Buccaneers took on the Chicago Bears Sunday afternoon.

Evans is the first Buccaneer to protest the national anthem. But unlike the reason for Colin Kaepernick's protest — which began in the preseason — Evans said this is specifically due to Donald Trump winning the presidential election.

"I don't want to, you know, disrespect the veterans or anything," Evans said to JoeBucsFan.com. "The men and women who serve this country, I'm forever indebted to them.
