Former Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman has stepped down as coach of a Massachusetts high school.
Sherman announced Thursday that he was leaving his post as head coach at Nauset Regional High School in Eastham, Massachusetts after two seasons.
During his time as coach, Nauset Regional went 4-18, with a 1-10 record during his first season in 2015 and a 3-8 record in 2016.
“I’ve enjoyed my time at Nauset,” Sherman told the Cape Cod Times. “I believe the kids not only earned a lot about football, but about life as well. I believed they learned some core values that will serve them well.
