Johnny Manziel's football comeback hit a little bit of a snag.
Manziel missed the Montreal Alouettes' 40-24 loss to the Edmonton Eskimos on Saturday after he was placed under the Canadian Football League's concussion protocol on Wednesday.
The injury occurred in a 24-17 loss at Ottawa on Aug. 11 when Manziel was hit at the goal line.
Manziel came back in and finished the game after coach Mike Sherman said experts cleared him to keep playing.
"If I knew there was anything wrong with Johnny. . . I would never put a player in harm's way and neither would this organization," Sherman said to the Associated Press.
