Unfortunately, if a movie was made ahead of Texas A&M’s appearance in Wednesday’s Music City Bowl against Louisville, it may look a lot more like “Fight Club” than any sports-related classic. That’s because all season, the Aggies have been unable to find their true identity. Even worse, the possibilities appear to be constantly fighting each other.
First and foremost, A&M (8-4) has struggled between being a team that can outscore opponents and one that needs John Chavis’ defense to save the day. In addition, the Aggies apparently haven’t been able to decide upon what kind of offense they’d like to be: Are they a spread team that wears teams out by moving fast, or do they prefer to pound their way into the end zone?
