The Maroon and White spring game returned to College Station after a two-season hiatus on Saturday. Here are five takeaways from Texas A&M's scrimmage at Kyle Field.
1. Starter at quarterback? Both Trevor Knight and Jake Hubenak looked solid while operating under what was surely vanilla play calling. Knight led wide receiver Ricky Seals-Jones a bit too far early in the first quarter which led to an Armani Watts interception, but made up for it later in the quarter with both a passing and rushing TD.
Hubenak clearly has had his nose in the playbook since his first career start in the Music City Bowl last season and displayed a clear understanding of the offense.
