New Mexico knocked off in-state rival New Mexico State on Saturday to go to 2-0 on the season (they are unranked). The Lobos are led by second-year head coach and former player Danny Gonzalez. New Mexico started 0-5 in 2020, but are on a 4-0 winning streak after winning their final two games last year against a pair of pretty decent programs in Fresno State and Wyoming.
