Earlier this week, Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Sapp told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that he doesn’t think Myles Garrett should be the first overall pick in this week’s NFL draft.
Apparently those comments aren’t going unnoticed by draft analysts who have pegged Garrett as this year’s top prospect, including ESPN’s Todd McShay.
“I can put together a highlight reel, or a lowlight reel if you want, of every single player conserving energy,” McShay said on the air. “It’s a different game now, and I’m not making excuses. There are some plays where you kind of want to see a little bit more at the end of the play by Myles Garrett, but you’re playing 80-90 snaps on defense now versus 50-60 years ago because of the up-tempo offenses.
