ESPN's Butch Davis sounds off on Texas A&M, the CFP poll, Charlie Strong and the 'tragic' Big 12

Butch Davis may be best known in these parts as the former defensive line coach and defensive coordinator who helped the Cowboys win two Super Bowls in the 1990s.

He went on to head coaching stints with the Miami Hurricanes (1995-2000), Cleveland Browns (2001-04), and North Carolina (2007-10). After two seasons serving as a consultant for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2012-13, Davis joined ESPN in 2014 as a college football studio analyst.

He also contributes to coverage on College Football Live, ESPN Radio, ESPN.com and SportsCenter.

A native of Bixby, Okla., Davis played tight end and defensive end for Arkansas under head coach Frank Boyles.
