Elite Mansfield Legacy DB Jeffery Carter explains why he flipped from Texas A&M to sign with Alabama

MANSFIELD -- One by one, the four players signing with college football programs on Wednesday inside the gymnasium at Mansfield Legacy went up to a podium and announced where they were heading.

Three-star wide receiver Ife Adeyi was first, confirming to those in attendance that he would be signing with Houston. Defensive back Jeffery Carter, a top-100 player in the country, according to 247Sports, was up next.

For months, it looked like Carter would don maroon and white and sign with Texas A&M after committing to the Aggies in late July. Instead, over a week after changing his mind, Carter, rocking a crimson zip-up, went up to the podium and told the people in attendance he would be signing with Alabama.
