Cincinnati Bengals select Texas A&M’s Cedric Ogbuehi in first round of NFL draft

COLLEGE STATION – Offensive lineman Cedric Ogbuehi added to Texas A&M’s NFL draft history on Thursday night.

The Cincinnati Bengals selected Ogbuehi, a long and lean tackle, with the 21st pick of the first round. His selection means A&M has had at least one first-round pick in five consecutive years, starting in 2011. The previous consecutive streak for A&M was three straight seasons, set twice last century.

Ogbuehi, who played both guard and tackle for A&M over a solid career, tore his ACL in the Aggies’ Liberty Bowl victory over West Virginia in late December and didn’t take part in drills at the NFL combine.
