Jason Mohns knew Christian Kirk could be an NFL prospect ever since the Texas A&M receiver was in fourth grade.
Even at that age, Kirk was doing more than hold his own against players who were generally older than him.
"That kid has been elite since the minute he put on a helmet and shoulder pads," said Mohns, who coached Kirk from elementary school until he graduated from Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro.
Those who watched Kirk at Kyle Field have experienced this first-hand during the junior's three seasons in College Station. When A&M (5-4, 3-3 SEC) hosts New Mexico (3-6, 1-5 Mountain West) this Saturday, Kirk could be playing in his final home game.
