Even amid a historic celebration, Charles Barkley offered Dirk Nowitzki a sobering reminder.
Finding work after leaving the NBA can be difficult. Fortunately for Nowitzki, Barkley has a solution.
After Nowitzki officially announced his retirement that will be effective at the end of the season, Barkley jokingly offered to make the Mavericks forward a co-host on TNT's "Inside the NBA." Even though Barkley admitted only lead host Ernie Johnson has the pull to change one of the most beloved foursomes in sports television, Barkley said he might have some pull to squeeze Dirk into the mix.
"If Dirk Nowitzki wants a job at TNT, I'm pretty sure I can get rid of Shaq or Kenny for him," Barkley joked, referencing his fellow co-hosts Shaquille O'Neal and Kenny Smith.
