FORT WORTH – Aggie throwers produced big marks during TCU’s Horned Frog Invitational as Texas A&M registered 18 victories and finished as the top collegian in three other events on Saturday at the Lowden Track & Field Complex.
A&M registered 13 of its wins in the field events and the strong effort included a school record in the men’s hammer.
Austin Cook’s first attempt in the hammer reached a distance of 212-5 (64.76) to better the A&M school record of 211-1 (64.33) set by Casey Strong when he placed ninth in the NCAA Championships last season.
