The five-year streak is tied for the seventh-longest in draft history. And in the 77 years that A&M players have been drafted into the NFL, only twice before this stretch had Aggies been in the first round in even three consecutive years (1975-77, 1992-94).
Offensive tackle Germain Ifedi seems likely to be the first Aggies player off the board. Ifedi, who was A&M’s only underclassmen to leave early, is seen as a probable second-day pick (second or third round); his versatility — he also can play guard, which might be his best position in the NFL — is a big selling point.
