In an expected but disappointing move, Texas A&M announced today that their 2021 matchup with the University of Colorado will not be played at Folsom Field in Boulder, but rather at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver.
This is likely a revenue-generating move for both schools. The series was originally scheduled as a home-and-home for 2020 and 2021, but obviously the 2020 game was canceled when the SEC went to a conference-only football schedule in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, the 2021 game gets moved to a bigger venue (Mile High holds about 22,500 fans more than Folsom does), and you have to assume the two schools will split the profits.
