There are no current plans for Texas and Texas A&M to resume their football rivalry.
If A&M board of regents member Tony Buzbee had his way, the schools would resume the rivalry, because in his opinion, the Aggies “need some cupcake games to rest and heal.”

Buzbee, a trial lawyer who received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M and is the founder of the Buzbee Law Firm in Houston, expounded on that in a Facebook post Wednesday, saying “In my view, Texas is just as weak if not weaker than the non-conference games we play, so we may as well play them.
