COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M senior shortstop Blake Allemand and sophomore outfielder Nick Banks were named to the American Baseball Coaches Association All-America squad on Saturday afternoon with both players being placed on the Third Team.
Allemand was only Aggie to play in all 64 games, starting all of them. He paced A&M with 60 runs. The Boerne, Texas native hit .339 with 14 doubles, three triples, seven home runs and 40 RBI.
With 231 games played, Allemand finished fourth on the Aggies’ career list. He finished his career with a .295 batting average, 148 hits, 29 doubles, seven triples, eight home runs, 105 RBI and 32 stolen bases.
