FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. -- This postseason, North Carolina State coach Dave Doeren became very familiar with one of college football's new realities.
While the rest of the Wolfpack were preparing for the upcoming Gator Bowl against No. 19 Texas A&M, Doeren learned a couple of his best players wouldn't be available. Junior receiver Kelvin Harmon and senior linebacker Germaine Pratt joined the numerous players around the country skipping their respective bowl games to get ready for the NFL draft.
Doeren and other coaches might not agree with the trend, but he understands the rationale behind the decision.
