Texas A&M quarterback Trevor Knight is stepping up to help a fellow Aggies student tackle a rare form of cancer. Freshman Shelby Smith set up a GoFundMe page to help fund her treatment for olfactory neuroblastoma, and Knight helped spread the word via Twitter on Thursday night:
They told me Aggies always help out Aggies…. Let's put that to practice!

By Friday morning, Knight’s message had been retweeted more than 500 times. And it’s had an effect. The GoFundMe page shows that the campaign already has raised more than $66,000 – beyond its original goal – just three days after its launch.
