Basketball season is still a couple of months away (and at least three football losses from some of us starting to pay attention), but Texas A&M made some hoops news on Wednesday as they secured a commitment from Virginia Tech transfer guard Tyrece Radford.
Radford averaged double-digit scoring each of the past two seasons for the Hokies, and was projected to be a starter on their 2021-22 squad before entering the transfer portal this summer. He’ll be eligible immediately and has three years of eligibility remaining.
Radford is one of a slew of newcomers to the Texas A&M roster this season as head coach Buzz Williams looks to turnaround a program that has gone 12-14 in his first two seasons on the job (both of which were significantly impacted by COVID).
