The beloved head man and all of his bunts are sticking around in Aggieland until at least 2021.
On the eve of the season opener for Kevin Sumlin and the Aggie football team, we actually got a bit of Aggie baseball news, as D1baseball.com’s Kendall Rogers reported that Head Coach Rob Childress has signed a contract extension.
Under Childress, the Aggie Baseball program has seen its longest ever string of consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, which currently sits at 10 and dates back to 2007. During that 10 year stretch, the Ags have won five regionals (hosting all five), and made it all the way to Omaha in 2011.
