Not only is the Aggie defense coming to play, but Texas A&M's rushing attack is carving through its opponents. After four games, the Aggies lead the SEC in rushing yards. Freshman running back Trayveon Williams has three more rushing yards than Leonard Fournette on 27 less carries.
Last weekend, A&M rushed for 366 yards on Arkansas, a team that held the Aggies to 65 yards on the ground in 2015. A&M's performance was highlighted by a few goal line stands against the Razorbacks' massive offensive line and stout running game. This success, according to ESPN's Sam Khan, can be attributed to science and an alteration to the Aggie strength and conditioning program.
