For the second time this offseason, someone is reportedly interested in prying Mike Elko out of College Station.
On Thursday, NFL Network reported the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals will seek Texas A&M's permission to interview the Aggies' defensive coordinator. This comes two months after Elko decided to stay in the Brazos Valley instead of becoming Temple's coach.
Elko and four other A&M assistants -- Maurice Linguist, Dameyune Craig, Elijah Robinson and Jay Graham -- worked the entire 2018 season without official contracts. As of Jan. 14, all four men were still under a tentative agreement with the university, according to the university's legal office.
