COLLEGE STATION -- Texas A&M held its annual Maroon & White Game Friday night at Kyle Field as the shorthanded Aggies played in front of a sparse crowd in the rescheduled scrimmage.

Here are five thoughts from the Aggies’ spring game with the White Team winning 17-14:

Aggies missing many key pieces

There was a modest crowd at Kyle Field Friday night, but the Aggies were playing thin, too. At least 13 players were out, and almost all of those included starters or key backups.

The lack of true starters gave way to second and third teamers seeing significant snaps.
