Texas A&M received its first commitment since the infamous Twitter rant of wide receiver coach Aaron Moorehead, picking up a pledge from four-star safety Derrick Tucker.
Tucker (6 feet 2, 194 pounds), from Manvel (Texas) High, made his announcement Friday via Twitter.
Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin did not waste any time in responding to the good news.
Moorehead’s actions caused a stir last week in the wake of a decommitment from five-star quarterback Tate Martell. Four-star wide receiver Mannie Netherly also pulled his A&M commitment, leading to an apology from Moorehead and internal discipline from Sumlin.
