COLLEGE STATION -- For the first time since late August, Texas A&M is not gearing up for a game. Still, several players met to discuss where the No. 22 Aggies are at headed into their bye week.
Here are three takeaways from A&M's player-only availability:
A&M has to tap the brakes entering the bye week.
And even though the Aggies have won three straight games, which could want one to keep playing, the consensus among players is that the bye week is a good break.
"I would like to keep playing, but the bye week came at a really good time," senior defensive tackle Daylon Mack said.
