Just as the college football dead period begins, Texas A&M just picked up their first commit since April, landing a pledge from three-star Katy Paetow LB Daymion Sanford.
Sanford’s current recruiting ratings list him as the No. 705 recruit in the country, the No. 59 edge rusher and the No. 127 recruit in Texas, but those numbers likely don’t tell the full story. For evidence of that, just look at Daymion’s month of June. He entered the month with only four Power 5 offers (Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Minnesota and Colorado), but after performing well at camps in College Station and Tuscaloosa, has since received offers from TCU, A&M, Texas, Alabama and LSU.
