WTA players celebrate the end of Australian Open quarantine

After fourteen long days spent in quarantine ahead of the Australian Open, the WTA players are celebrating the end of their hotel isolation. However, those in hard quarantine will have to be patient for an extra day.

Players in regular quarantine were allowed to leave their rooms for five hours per day, but now even those restrictions are being lifted as the two-week isolation period is expiring. Most players will be released from their hotels by Sunday, depending on the time of their flight’s arrival in Australia.

Elina Svitolina, Iga Swiatek, and Caroline Garcia shared their excitement on social media.
