Spectators at Wimbledon on Friday will take part in the national minute’s silence in memory of the victims of the Tunisia attack.
The tribute will come exactly a week after the massacre in Sousse left up to 30 Britons dead, the biggest loss of British life to terrorism since the 7/7 bombings in London in 2005.
“Wimbledon will be joining the national minute’s silence on Friday and we will be asking all those in the grounds at the time to observe the silence out of respect to the victims in Tunisia and their families,” read a statement from the All England Club’s chief executive Richard Lewis.
