U.S. Open Today: Siblings Sprinkled About in Early Matches

Venus and Serena Williams, the pre-eminent siblings in tennis for two decades, will share Arthur Ashe Stadium on Tuesday as they play their first-round matches, but they are not the only sibling act in the opening days of the United States Open.

Alexander Zverev, also known as Sascha, won his first-round match Tuesday to join his older brother, Mischa, in the second round.

The Zverevs, Germans who are coached by their father, are playing in the same Grand Slam singles tournament for the first time.

In a bit of a role reversal, the younger sibling is leading the charge.
