Prize money at the 2024 US Open will be at an all-time high and the largest purse in tennis history with $75 million in total player compensation.
The USTA today announced that the 2024 US Open will offer a stunning 15% increase in prize money, which was a total of $65 million in 2023. Most importantly, all rounds in all events will see an increase from the previous season, both in the main draw and in the qualifying tournament, with an emphasis placed on early-round increases.
In the past five years, prize money for playing the first round of main draw singles has risen by 72 percent, from $58,000 in 2019 to reaching $100,000 for the first time, marking a 23 percent increase from 2023.
