U.S. Open Day 6 After Dark: Venus eases into fourth round, Wawrinka duels Evans

Venus WIlliams eased to victory on Saturday night, beating Laura Siegemund in straight sets and reaching the fourth round of the U.S. Open for the second consecutive year.

In the first match of the night session at Arthur Ashe Stadium, Williams thrashed Siegemund 6-1, 6-2 in just over an hour.

Elsewhere, Stan Wawrinka and Daniel Evans played a marathon five–setter at Louis Armstrong Stadium, while Kei Nishikori faced Nicolas Mahut at the Grandstand.
