American Madison Keys has moved into the fourth round of the 2017 US Open, playing what turned out to be the second-latest running womens match in US Open history.
Due to two long mens matches, Keys’ match against Russian Elena Vesnina started only shortly before midnight and ended sharply at 1:45 AM, only three minutes shy of the all-time record for the latest running womens match in US Open history that was set in 2016, coincidentally also involving Madison Keys.
