Days after all WTA tournaments in China have been canceled because of the COVID-19 outbreak, Tokyo’s Toray Pan Pacific Open has also been crossed off the Asian Swing.
The 2020 Toray Pan Pacific Open, where Japan’s Naomi Osaka would be defending her title, had already been postponed from September because of the coronavirus pandemic that has been the reason for cancellation of all WTA tournaments since March.
While we’ll have little to no tennis in Asia this year, Europe and America promise to deliver a number of tournaments, albeit in a very restricted package.
