The WTA returns to Madrid for what is one of the highlights of each summer clay season – The Mutua Madrid Open.
Held inside the futuristic Caja Magica tennis complex in the Spanish capital, the Mutua Madrid Open has been Spain’s premier tennis tournament ever since the first edition was held in 1996.
Being a WTA tournament of the highest possible category, the draw for the Mutua Madrid Open is packed with all the big name players the sport has to offer right now, the only two notable absentees are Jelena Jankovic & Dominika Cibulkova, both of which can’t play due to injury.
